چکیده

The southern Ferkessédougou batholith in the center-west of Côte d’Ivoire is study area. geology this area includes granitoids (granodiorite, two-mica granite, biotite granite and muscovite granite) metasediment panels. Petrographic studies were coupled with geochemical analyzes on whole rock order to provide new elements structural evolution portion West African craton. data show that basement Bonon partly identical northern part batholith. reveal three major phases deformation structured As for carried essentially samples granitoids, they indicated a high-k affinity I type characteristics. spectra REE normalized chondrites, have moderate slopes fractionation highlighted by ratios (La/Sm)N = 1.93 - 4.56 (La/Yb)N 7.69 32.28. multi-element diagrams revealed negative anomalies Ta-Nb implying partial melting crust TTG composition. Studies geotectonic environment shown Bouaflé region emplaced an arc associated subduction zone.

Crustal structure of the Kaapvaal craton and its significance for early crustal evolution

High-quality seismic data obtained from a dense broadband array near Kimberley, South Africa, exhibit crustal reverberations of remarkable clarity that provide well-resolved constraints on the structure of the lowermost crust and Moho. Receiver function analysis of Moho conversions and crustal multiples beneath the Kimberley array shows that the crust is 35 km thick with an average Poisson’s ra...
